Join in a participatory online art project re-imagining the relationship between the United Kingdom and France.

As we adjust to the new physical and emotional borders now placed between us and our continental neighbours, I Love You, Moi Non Plus is a digital art project that allows everyone to imagine and express what this historical change might mean for the UK-French relationship today and in the future.

Taking its title from the infamous 1967 song Je t'aime, moi non plus (I love you, me neither) by Serge Gainsbourg (best known in the version sung by Jane Birkin) the project, like the song, explores love and its impossibility.

Now more than ever, art and creativity are essential in helping us to build bridges and amplify the voices of people from all walks of life, and we want you to take part in the creative journey. Armed with your brushes, pencils, cameras, words or whatever you prefer, we invite you to create an artwork that describes what the relationship between the UK and France or the continent means to you.

The project is being launched by a group of leading international artists, including writer, singer and poet Abd al Malik, contemporary artist Ai Wei Wei (China), singer and songwriter Angélique Kidjo (Bénin), visual artist Anne-Lise Coste (France), dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied (France), contemporary artist Bob and Roberta Smith (UK), artist and Somerset House Trustee Brian Eno (UK), filmmaker, photographer and poet Caleb Femi (Nigeria), jazz singer and presenter China Moses (USA), Somerset House Studios resident and artist Christian Marclay (USA/Switzerland), theatre director Ivo Van Hove (Netherlands), fashion designer Stella McCartney (UK) and musician, dancer and English National Ballet artistic director Tamara Rojo (UK). Anyone is invited them to join them.

Share your creation on social media using the hashtags #ILoveYouMoiNonPlus, #ILYMNP and #LifeAfterBrexit to contribute to the project, which will be curated online on a new dedicated digital platform. Alternatively, submit your contribution directly to the website here.

All forms of artistic expression are welcome, however multimedia or video contributions should be no longer than 60 seconds and text-based works should not exceed 1000 characters and be displayed within a single visual layout.

I Love You, Moi Non Plus is a collaborative project coordinated by Sabir with Dover Street Market (Paris/London), Somerset House, The Adonyeva Foundation, Collectif Coulanges and Eurostar.
