Join the fellows of the Learned Society of Extra Ordinary Objects in their temporary HQ at Somerset House for an evening fuelled by the spirit of storytelling through design.

The second in a series of special late openings of the exhibition will be an opportunity to explore the extra ordinary stories and objects shared by the artists, fellows and performers.

To soundtrack the evening new society fellow Phoebe Morris will use her bespoke orchestra of ordinary objects in a unique performance experimenting with the form, function and feeling of the everyday.

Jasleen Kaur and Carl Clerkin will also be cooking the special celebratory Red Spaghetti dish inspired by the Learned Society’s early staple meal, concocted by former fellow Mustafa Baroutchi on route to England via Italy from Cyprus in the early 1900s. A vegetarian-friendly serving of Red Spaghetti will be provided for attendees.

Alongside the evening’s entertainment guests will be invited enjoy a couple of complimentary drinks from the Royal Society’s Famous Gin Bar and Roofer’s ‘Round the Back’ vending machine, installed for the first time within the exhibition.
