Imran Perretta’s Listening Party series culminates in a one-off rave in the Deadhouse, a unique space underneath the courtyard of Somerset House.
With contributions from Paul Purgas, Nabihah Iqbal and Kindness (Adam Bainbridge), The Listening Party series unpacks creative process and considers the sonic and visual cultures that have shaped their identities as British South-Asian artists. To close the series, Imran hosts a night in the Deadhouse with a curated line-up and exclusive DJ sets from the participating artists and invited guests.

LINE-UP
Akash
Akash plays a mix of R&B edits, UK funky, jersey, exit light only club constructions and a bunch of other tracks you would hear in a remapped red and black mk5 Golf GTI at 3am cruising up and down the same roads of Leicester looking to chief up Jiren.
Imran Perretta
Imran Perretta addresses biopower, marginality and the (de)construction of cultural histories. His multi-disciplinary practice encompasses moving image, sound, performance and poetry.
Lyle (Morning Routine)
Lyle spent 2017 performing their live set as a band in London and Sussex, as well as creating radio shows on his Radar Radio residency, as well as appearing on NTS and 199 Radio. He has also been collaborating closely with his band members, Leonard Doob and Don Sinini, as well as Ninja Tune’s Nabihah Iqbal. Lyle is launching Morning Routine with an EP launch in July at The Waiting Room, with subsequent events to follow this year.
MANARA
Manara is a London based DJ and producer with ties to Night Slugs and Fade To Mind. She established the BBC AZN Network radio show three years ago on U.K. station Radar Radio with fellow London artists 2shin and Sweyn Jupiter. Manara's mixes Indian and Pakistani sounds into everything from house, grime, garage and R&B. She currently has a monthly residency on BBC Asian Network.
Nabihah Iqbal
Formerly known as Throwing Shade, Nabihah Iqbal is a musician, producer, DJ and broadcaster. Since 2013, Nabihah has hosted a bi-weekly show on NTS Radio exploring the musical traditions of different countries, and released a string of EPs on labels Ominira, No Pain in Pop and Ninja Tune.
