Taking their stylistic wardrobe from a suitcase that was lost on the baggage carousel somewhere between Munich and Miami in 1977, the quintet is happy to channel Chic and Steely Dan, French house and glossy 70s Moroder with a distinctly analogue flavour, but what sets them apart is the way they lock together as a band, transcending the elements from across pop history and sounding absolutely contemporary.
With flowing locks, pulsating breakdowns and a clutch of disco pop classics at their disposal, these young dudes from Byron Bay will transform Summer Series into the mellowest of boogie nights.

Listen to Franc Moody songs and you’ll hear salt shakers and mugs, dripping radiators, the sound of someone zipping their flies and their family playing strings. It’s this kind of DIY sound design and attention to detail that has made this new London duo such a curious and captivating proposition.
Their sound is contemporary funk, awash with electronic inspiration and a knack for throbbing grooves like Dopamine and Dance Moves has racked up millions of streams. Their hypnotic and freeform live shows are performed as a collective, with a cast of musicians, guest vocalists, producers and animators all playing a role.
