In collaboration with artists Ruth Beale and Lorelle Aboagye, The Hundred Club draws on themes of crisis, dreaming, solidarity and action to create a dream space populated by the creations, hopes, fears and imaginings of children and young people. Who do you dream of being? How does this dream person, creature or force affect change in the world?

About The Hundred Club & Artists

The Hundred Club

The Hundred Club is an experimental creative space that uses arts and play for children to explore social justice issues. Free and open to 5-12 year olds and their siblings, parents and carers. The club was initiated by Ruth Beale and is produced by TACO!

Ruth Beale

Ruth Beale is a London-based artist. Their socially engaged art and publishing seeks to trouble societal structures, reframe knowledge hierarchies and advocate for collective approaches. They collaborate with Amy Feneck as The Alternative School of Economics, with TACO! On The Hundred Club, and with Simon Elvins on All the Libraries in London.

Lorelle Aboagye

Lorelle Aboagye's hand-crafted textile artworks boldy fuse her diverse cultural interests. Drawing inspiration from her travels, deep connections to material culture, and the rich heritage of traditional Ghanaian crafts, she explores both traditional weaving processes and dyeing techniques in her work. Central to her artistic practice is narrative, emphasising the importance of preserving and celebrating our cultural stories for future generations. Lorelle has facilitated workshops at institutions including the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and The Wallace Collection.

Dream Space is part of The Spell or The Dream, a major new commission by Somerset House Studios artist Tai Shani. Centered around a striking new sculpture for the Somerset House courtyard, this multifaceted work includes a 24/7 radio broadcast, live talks and performances, and an extensive family programme, inviting a host of guest contributors to collectively dream of possible futures.
