Join us for our July Upgrade Yourself Monthly to explore programming live events with intention and specificity with Somerset House Residents Dialled In - where grassroots energy meets global intent. Dialled In celebrate the depth and diversity of alternative South Asian music and culture through experiences and events.

Every line-up tells a story. But, too often, programming defaults to algorithm logic: what's trending, who's available, what fills a room. This workshop flips that. Led by Dialled In, Programming with Intention is a hands-on session exploring how to build events with purpose: curating line-up's that reflect a point of view, sequencing energy across a night, and making deliberate choices about who shares a stage and why.
Drawing on their years of experience programming festivals, label showcases and club nights centred on South Asian creativity, Dialled In will help you unpack what it means to programme with cultural specificity rather than broad appeal, and why that specificity is what builds audiences that stay.
Using case studies and 'The Intention Framework', there will be opportunities to put into practice your own ideas for programming, working with others to curate something truly purposeful.
Whether you're putting on your first night or rethinking your tenth, this is about moving from reactive booking to intentional world-building.
As always, free drinks and food provided by Butch Salads will be available throughout the evening.
