Join us for a day-long artist-led market and programme of talks exploring some of the key and most prescient issues facing artists today

Initiated by the Somerset House Studios community, The Artists' Fair is back for its second, expanded iteration, with an artist-led market and programme of panel talks, facilitating an informal space for artists and audiences to engage.

Each talk will unpack key challenges artists face today, considering how livelihoods and income streams overlap, and imagining what is needed to secure a better and more sustainable future for artists.  Talks will invite artists, writers and curators to discuss topics including navigating parenthood as an artist, financial sustainability in art practice, accessible and inclusive working, and navigating censorship. The talks programme has limited capacity, which will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Throughout the day, there will be food stalls, and the bar will host an evening of DJ sets from the Somerset House Studios community.

To support artist parents and those with children, there will also be a small pop-up creche, for children aged 1 - 6, for a fee of £6 per child (in 2-hour slots). To enquire, please email studios@somersethouse.org.uk
