ABOUT MARVIN’S MAGIC
Marvin’s Magic is recognised as the brand leader for magic worldwide, combining a rich magical heritage, Great British design and four decades of innovation with a simple philosophy: Professional Magic Made Easy.
The story began in 1987, when magician and entrepreneur Marvin Berglas launched Marvin’s Magic at Hamleys of Regent Street. Magic traditionally demands dexterity, skill and many years of practice, but Marvin had a different idea: to create ingenious, professional-quality magic that budding magicians could learn quickly and perform with confidence.
From its original home at Hamleys, the Marvin’s Magic experience has gone on to appear in some of the world’s most prestigious flagship stores, including Harrods and Selfridges in London and FAO Schwarz in New York.
Behind Marvin’s Magic is an extraordinary family heritage. Marvin grew up in one of the most respected families in magic. His father, David Berglas, was a pioneer of magic on television and served as President of The Magic Circle. Marvin forged his own distinguished career as both a magician and entrepreneur, performing at the Magic Castle in Hollywood and becoming the first resident magician in Premier League football.
In 2023, Marvin followed in his father’s footsteps when he became President of The Magic Circle, making David and Marvin Berglas the only father and son in its history to have both held the prestigious role.
Today, Marvin’s Magic remains as passionate and innovative as ever, continually developing new ways to amaze, impress, entertain and inspire. But at its heart, the same idea that began at Hamleys in 1987 remains: to share the wonder of magic, make the seemingly impossible accessible, and inspire the next generation of magicians.
