Akil Benjamin (Comuzi) and his team of creatives present an online version of M&C Saatchi’s Saturday School with a day of workshops to improve your skills as a creative entrepreneur.

M&C Saatchi Saturday School, supported by Out The Box, has partnered with Somerset House to help you develop the in-house skills you may need as a creative entrepreneur. 
 
Covering all the basics you may need to run your creative business, from 'Wellbeing at Work' to 'Getting Started with Digital Marketing', M&C Saatchi Saturday School is hosting a day of live events across our online channels. 
 
As all of the classes are CPD accredited, M&C Saatchi Saturday School can recognise your efforts in professional development offering you an industry recognised certification, which can be used worldwide.

Learn how to manage your mental health effectively at work, be that while running your start-up or during your 9-5 with Andrea Corbett, FOCUS Academy.

In this class you will learn effective ways to manage stress, burnout, and imposter syndrome. This class was designed by entrepreneurs, counsellors and personal development coaches

Business Finance Essentials

Get to learn the basics of good business finances with Richard Fagbolagun Head of Operations and Finance at COMUZI.

Understand:
 

  • Local tax requirements (UK)
  • The pros and cons of Sole Trader vs Ltd 
  • Receive an overview on the funding and support options available to small businesses.
  • Registering for tax
  • If you need to get an accountant

Business Planning

Learn how to articulate your business' purpose and develop a plan with Akil Benjamin Director of M&C Saatchi Saturday School, Strategy Director at COMUZI 

During this workshop you will:

  • Learn how to articulate your business' purpose and core goals.
  • Develop a method to do customer research to inform your new product or service.
  • Find the minimal resources required, personally accessible to you, to set up your business.
  • Develop a go-to-market strategy.
  • Complete the workshop with a business plan to start your business geared towards revenue.


Your business plan will include:

  • A video of your draft elevator pitch
  • A customer research plan
  • A selection of viable next steps for your business

 
It is also advised you attend the class with a business idea you would like to work on to get the most out of the class.
