Upgrade Yourself: Process | Approaching Fashion Research and Styling with Jeanie Annan-Lewin

Thu 25 Feb 2021
13.00 - 14.30
Online

Join fashion director and stylist Jeanie Annan-Lewin in this fashion forward process-led workshop.

Jeanie will walk us through some of her career highlights and how she approaches her working process as a researcher, collaborator and innovator, across high-end fashion and visual communication, offering advice on how to hone your own projects and ideas.

In our 90-min fashion focused workshop, Jeanie will share her career journey through the ever-evolving fashion industry. As a stylist and image-auteur working between art and creative direction, we also hope Jeanie will provide some insight from her current role as Fashion Director of hotly anticipated, The Perfect Magazine.

Jeanie’s relationship communicating with the body and clothes is embedded by an in-depth approach to strong visual research, exploring the possibilities of fashion styling fully. Through storytelling, working across teams and her professionalism Jeanie responds brilliantly to briefs for high-end clients, and editorial outcomes, whilst still retaining her core work values and aesthetic. This will be a vibrant session, so be sure to arrive on time with lots of questions.

Just before the session you will have the chance to talk with Jeanie and other participants. We encourage you to use the chat box to interact, connect with each other and ask lots of questions during the session.

In this session Jeanie will be covering topics around:

  • Her journey into fashion and wider creative industries
  • Research processes
  • Finding your aesthetic and evolving your ideas
  • Working as collaborator / co-creator
  • Approaching storytelling and fashion editorial
