Somerset House is a home for innovators, makers and contemporary designers. Contact the Venue Hire team to explore the ways in which we can help shine a spotlight on your work.
As the go-to home for cultural innovation, Somerset House has hosted, fostered and promoted cross-disciplinary work by leaders in fashion – such as residents Charles Jeffrey, Saul Nash and Gareth Pugh – and our central London location offers a number of charismatic spaces for you to showcase your designs.
“I love Somerset House. It feels like home, the teams are always super friendly, and go out of their way to help!”
SABIRAH, a luxury Demi-Couture, modest wear brand for ALL women by Deborah Latouche
With twelve blank canvas spaces to choose from – customisable and ideal for dressing – the Venue Hire team are on hand to help support and frame contemporary design and pathbreaking fashion across our unique and iconic Georgian-era site.
The Embankment Galleries, originally a barrel-vaulted barge house linked directly to the Thames, spread over the ground floor and mezzanine level of the South Wing, are an impressive and theatrical suite of spaces ideal for immersive showcases. The Lancaster Room – with dramatic pillars, high ceilings and exposed floorboards – offers a contemporary twist to Somerset House’s neoclassical architecture and, fully dressable, is perfect for immersive, experiential events and catwalks. The River Rooms – located in our New Wing, complete with dramatic original fireplaces and exposed brick archways – has its own private entrance, and remains a much sought-after space for designers looking to exhibit and present new work.
