For 2026, we are delighted to partner with KERB Events and Velvet Living to host Christmas parties in our Embankment Galleries for the very first time. KERB brings together a network of independent street food traders from across London, showcasing some of the city’s most exciting food talent. Designed for corporate Christmas parties of 300 guests or more, our festive package brings together street food from some of London’s best traders, an unlimited drinks package and seasonal styling, with our team looking after every detail on the night.
The Embankment Galleries offer a striking contemporary backdrop for Christmas parties and festive celebrations in central London. Located across the lower ground floor and mezzanine of the South Wing, this dynamic space blends dramatic steel-and-glass staircases, elegant hardstone flooring and bold feature walls to create a truly versatile blank canvas that can be transformed to bring your festive vision to life.
Exclusive Skate Days and Events
Create an exclusive skate event at Somerset House with something for everyone to enjoy! Pair one (or more) of our back-to-back skating sessions with the hire of a bespoke event space to create a truly memorable experience. Whether you’re planning a festive Santa’s grotto, hosting gingerbread or wreath-making workshops, or serving mulled wine and seasonal cocktails, you can tailor every detail to suit your guests.

Skate at Somerset House
Hailed as one of the capital’s favourite winter experiences, Skate at Somerset House heralds the start of the festive period. In conjunction with your festive celebration, November through to January you can add skate tickets or exclusively hire the rink for your guests.

How many guests can Somerset House accommodate for a Christmas party?
Our 2026 festive package is available for groups of 300 guests or more. The Embankment Galleries can accommodate up to 800 guests standing, subject to the event set-up.

What is included in the Christmas party package?
The package includes exclusive access to the Embankment Galleries from 18:30 to 23:00, a prosecco and festive mocktail reception, three KERB Events street food items per person, an unlimited drinks package, complimentary mince pies, bar staff, a staffed cloakroom, event security and full event management.
How much does a Christmas party at Somerset House cost?
For 2026, packages are £125 + VAT per person for 300 to 499 guests, £120 + VAT per person for 500 to 699 guests and £115 + VAT per person for 700 guests or more. Production packages and additional enhancements are charged separately.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. KERB Events can cater for a range of dietary requirements and manages allergen information as part of the event planning process. Menu requirements can be discussed with our team ahead of your celebration.
Can we add a DJ, live music or entertainment to our Christmas party?
Yes. Working with Velvet Living, production packages can include a resident DJ, dancefloor lighting, staging, lounge seating, video screens and other event production. For larger celebrations, options can also include a live six-piece party band.
Can we add ice skating to our Christmas party?
Yes. Alongside a venue hire, you can add group skating for up to 80 guests at £28 + VAT per person, or exclusively hire the rink for up to 250 guests at £8,500 + VAT per session. Exclusive rink sessions require a minimum of 120 guests, and skate boot hire is included. All options are subject to availability.
How late can our Christmas party run?
Guest access within the standard package runs from 18:30 to 23:00. Additional hours are available at £22 + VAT per person, per hour. Our current late licence runs until 01:00, with later licences subject to approval and available on request.
