The Embankment Galleries offer a striking contemporary backdrop for unforgettable festive celebrations. Located across the lower ground floor and mezzanine of the South Wing, this dynamic space blends dramatic steel-and-glass staircases, elegant hardstone flooring and bold feature walls to create a truly versatile blank canvas, that can be transformed effortlessly to bring your festive vision to life.

Create an exclusive skate event at Somerset House with something for everyone to enjoy! Pair one (or more) of our back-to-back skating sessions with the hire of a bespoke event space to create a truly memorable experience. Whether you’re planning a festive Santa’s grotto, hosting gingerbread or wreath-making workshops, or serving mulled wine and seasonal cocktails, you can tailor every detail to suit your guests.

Hailed as one of the capital’s favourite winter experiences, Skate at Somerset House heralds the start of the festive period. In conjunction with your festive celebration, November through to January you can add skate tickets or exclusively hire the rink for your guests.
