Make a chair the superhero and a spoon its arch nemesis! Anything goes in this comic creating workshop where you redraw the line between fact and fiction.

Learn the art of narrative and the technique of comic style as you cut, stick and draw everyday objects into extraordinary characters.

Inspired by the Learned Society of Extraordinary Objects and under the guidance of artist lead Rosie Allen, attendees are invited to bring their imagination to life.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 6 – 12 accompanied by an adult.

Rosie Allen is an artist who graduated with a BA in Interaction Design from London College of Communication in 2017. She seeks to challenge the way in which we experience the world, focussing on narrative and creating a spectacle. Her past projects include being a Modual pod leader at Somerset House and creating a workshop for the Science Museum where attendees wore upside down headsets which simulated learning to control fine motor skills again. In Adhoc Comics, Rosie will pursue her mission of reconsidering how we relate to the ordinary by asking us to transform mundane items into extraordinary creations, alive within a comic strip narrative.
