Join artists Abimaro and Lakwena for a unique workshop exploring the themes of the Hassan Hajjaj: La Caravane exhibition and contribute to a large collaborative artwork for public display.

In celebration of our exhibition Hassan Hajjaj: La Caravane we are hosting a workshop with renowned artists Abimaro and Lakwena. The sisters, who are portrayed in Hassan’s exhibited artwork My Rockstars Experimental Vol. 2 have exhibited and painted murals across the world including LA, London, Stockholm and Miami, with their trademark bold graphic patterns, texts, bright colours and inspiring positive messages.

In this workshop participants will work together on paintings inspired by the Moroccan born photographers’ key themes of identity, representation and heritage. Working with Abimaro and Lakwena the group will collaborate on painting bold works for display during the exhibition’s closing finnisage event on Saturday 6th January.

Note: this workshop is for those aged 18 - 25 only, no previous experience necessary, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get hands on!
