This workshop is for musicians and producers interested in composing, performing and mixing with spatial sound. Using Call & Response’s 27 speaker immersive sound system at Somerset House Studios, you will learn mixing and producing workflows in 3D sound, that will enable you to deconstruct existing work and transfer it from the studio to a live immersive performance or music release.
Requirements:
- A laptop with Reaper installed on it. You can download a free trial here.
- A pair of headphones.
- Call and Response can provide example tracks for you to work with but to get the best out of this course we suggest that you bring your own sound files or material.
Open to all levels, this workshop is suitable for any type of musician or producer; from vocalists to those working with electronics, as well as ensembles and bands. We specially encourage women and non-binary participants to take part in the workshop. Capacity is restricted, with the workshop undertaken in a socially distanced manner.
