The Philosophy Foundation: Big Questions for Little Thinkers (Ages 5 - 7)
In this playful, talk-based workshop, children explore philosophical questions about the world of tomorrow in response to Tai Shani: The Spell or The Dream.
Parents/Guardians must be present for full duration of the workshop
Dates | Thu 14 Aug 2025 |
Times | 11am-12pm |
Space | West Wing |
Price | £5 per ticket (for one child with one parent/guardian) |
What do you think the future will be like? Will people be kinder? Will there still be rules? Led by a trained philosopher, the session is entirely interactive and child-led, encouraging even the youngest thinkers to voice their ideas, listen to others, and wonder aloud.
There will also be an opportunity for children to contribute their thoughts and drawings to a collaborative art installation — capturing how young minds imagine what’s to come.
About The Philosophy Foundation
The Philosophy Foundation is an award-winning charity that brings philosophical enquiry to children and young people through trained specialist facilitators. Our sessions are talk-based, child-led, and designed to develop critical thinking, reasoning, and oracy.
Big Questions for Little Thinkers is part of The Spell or The Dream, a major new commission by Somerset House Studios artist Tai Shani. Centered around a striking new sculpture for the Somerset House courtyard, this multifaceted work includes a 24/7 radio broadcast, live talks and performances, and an extensive family programme, inviting a host of guest contributors to collectively dream of possible futures.
