The Pits is a new installation by resident artists, Sophia Al-Maria and Lydia Ourahmane in G31, which sits in dialogue with their outdoor commission on Lancaster Place, 2125.

Sophia Al-Maria and Lydia Ourahmane’s Lancaster Place commission continues their collaborative exploration of the ‘grey areas’ of England’s narratives, focusing on the notion of the ‘right to remain’.

The Courtauld Gallery is home to one of the world’s great art collections, and is located in the North Wing of Somerset House.

G31 is a project space dedicated to the work of Somerset House Studios and its residency programmes.
