Movement's Song: An Infinite Bodies Poetry Workshop with Mary Jean Chan

In this two-hour interactive writing workshop with Mary Jean Chan, participants will discuss poems and lyric essays by writers such as Audre Lorde ("Movement Song"), Nina Mingya Powles ("Small Bodies of Water") and Andrew McMillan ("the men are weeping in the gym") to explore how movement and its various manifestations can emerge on the page. There will be a chance to engage in micro-writing exercises during this workshop, and to share your work with fellow participants. A light amount of pre-reading will be circulated ahead of time.
